You can see it in his film roles, most notably (Women In Love, with Alan Bates) in a FAMOUS scene with two sweaty hot men getting physical to the point of near eruption in front of a roaring fire and stark naked.
Its this particual scene that got my juices going and I knew at that point I wanted to touch, be touched and surround myself with MEN. Not, just men..but sweaty fur laden men. It's the kind of scene that nowadays you would only find in a movie like "Fight Club". You have to be a real man to be secure enough to get this close...but, I have always thought that Oliver liked it a lot anyway.
The next movie I can think of where the rough and ready comes out is "Burnt Offerings", there is a lot of ass slapping throughout the film, but what stands out is Oliver wrestling Karen Black to the ground ready to fuck the hell out of her. I also love his protrayal of the Doctor in the movie "The Brood" especially when the other male patient is calling him Daddy. Very interesting movie to say the least. No there will never be another like Oliver Reed, and that's ok...because he will always be unique and hot as hell.
